The Price We Pay!

This past weekend the Ryan Lee bootcamp came to a close with a great speaker and person Dax Moy. Dax has written a book called the Magic Hundred on how to achieve your goals. I could not have imagined a better way to wrap up the conference. I am going to try and relate the message Dax sent some of the best fitness professionals in the world and relate it to you.

Everyone has a goal, or something that they would like to achieve or obtain in life. I have one, you have one, your neighbor has one, and the guy sitting on the street corner holding a sign that says, "Why lie, I need money for booze." has one. Your goals big or small, even one that includes getting booze, must follow a few rules if you would like to achieve them.

Rule #1:
You have to know what you want.

You can't just say, "I want a bigger house" or "I want to lose some weight", you have to really know what it is you want. Be specific. Know it and understand it. If you want to lose weight, know how much weight in what amount of time. Set your self a time frame to accomplish this goal. You have to search deep inside yourself to make sure that what you "want" is what will make you happy and content.

Rule #2:
You have to know how you are going to get it.

You can't just want something. You have to lay out a plan that will help you get what you want.
If you want a bigger house what are you going to do to make more money or save more money to buy the bigger house. If you want to lose 20lbs of fat and be in great shape, what changes in your diet and exercise plan are you going to make for that to happen. Things don't just happen because you want them to happen.

Rule #3:
Know the price of accomplishing the goal.

This is where you have to do some serious soul searching for the bigger goals you will set in life. Every goal or accomplishment comes with a price you have to pay. If you want to grow a business are you willing to put in the long hours and late nights to get it started? If you want to lose 20lbs are you willing to stop eating those cookies every day and do some exercise? Will you get up early to make sure you get in your workout before your day gets too busy?

Rule #4:
You have to pay the price.

After you know the price you must pay, you actually have to go through with it. There is no easy way around this most of the time.

This goes with dieting, money making, family life, and every other aspect of your life in which you set goals and have desires.

I hope you have an awesome day.

Ryan
